Futures Rewritten (Ultimate)

I’ve been PF’ing FRU in Mana, and this goes over the Mana PF strat.

Mana does the new Lily Doll strat, which is basically Lily Doll’s original strat, but has P4 and P5 replaced with Nukemaru’s strats.

The overall strat would typically be summarized as:

P123リリドP45ぬけまる《アポ基準/扇前/1:7/赤爆走Y字アムレン》

Japanese Translation

P123リリド

P123 RIRIDO

P123 Lily Doll

P45ぬけまる

P45 nukemaru

P45 Nukemaru

アポ基準

APO kijun

Apocalypse-relative
  • P3 Apocalypse: Where each group goes is determined by where the first pair of Apocalypse lights spawn (instead of where the safe spots are).

扇前

oogi mae

"Before fan"
  • P4 Darklit Dragonsong: Water stacks adjust before the fan AoEs from the Usurper of Frost.

赤爆

akabaku

"Red rushes"
  • P4 Crystallize Time: The red Blizzard players run towards North after popping their dragon heads- one to join the Unholy Darkness stack, the other to avoid the hourglass AoE.
  • Short for "赤ブリ爆走" (Red Blizzards rush).

Y字アムレン

Y ji AMUREN

"Y-shape Arm's Length"
  • P4 Crystallize Time: The party records their positions in a V-shape (I'm not sure why the Japanese call this Y-shaped), with the party near the center, and tanks relative NW/NE. Hallowed Wings is mitigated and everyone uses anti-knockback abilities just before the rewind happens.

BiS Notes

  • BiS will be a mix of gear from:
    • i730: M1-4S (AAC Light-heavyweight (Savage)).
    • i730: The Cloud of Darkness (Chaotic).
    • i735: Dungeon gear from The Meso Terminal.
  • Use the highest grade potions available.

Looking towards the future:

  • Futures Rewritten will not be outgeared until i860 gear is available in Patch 8.0.
  • Relic weapons (when they arrive) will have their substats capped at 393.

PoVs

Here are some clear PoVs that I’ve been collecting.

Macros

In addition, each player will need macros to mark themselves with, as overhead markers are used to assign positions.

At the minimum, everyone will need the following macro:

/micon attack marking
/mk attack <me>

This macro is used to assign puddles in P4’s Crystallize Time, as well as assign DPS with Short Fire positions in P3’s Ultimate Relativity.

Tanks/Healers will need an additional macro:

/micon bind1 marking
/mk bind <me>

This macro will be used to assign tanks/healers with Long Fire positions in P3’s Ultimate Relativity.

Frequently Asked Questions

[Damage Down] How strong is the damage down debuff in this fight?

There are actually two different Damage Down debuffs in this encounter, both of which lowers a player's damage by 90%.

  • Damage Down comes from getting hit by avoidable attacks.
  • Mark of Mortality comes from resolving stacks with less than the required number of players.

These damage downs also come from two separate debuffs, so they stack together for a combined 99% damage down!
